Eravikulam National Park

Eravikulam National Park - The Eravikulam national park is located at a distance if about 17km from the famous tourist destination of Munnar. The national park is in the midst of picturesque surrounding. The national park is on the Western Ghats with the highest point being Anamudi at a height of 2695 meters. A tower at the center of the park gives it a majestic look and adds to the attractiveness of the park. The national park was set up as a preservation center of an endangered species of goat, the Nilgiri Thar. The total area of the park is 97 sq km and is home to the largest number of Nilgiri Thar in the world.
