Rajasthan Heritage Tour Highlights

Day 1: Arrival At Delhi
As you arrive in Delhi, the company representative will meet you at the visitor's hall with a paging board. He will help you to transfer to your hotel and complete all the check-in formalities for you.
Delhi is no fairytale city but a city where dreams turn to reality. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. Delhi is truly a symbol of the old and the new; a blend of ancient well preserved monuments and temples along with jam-packed burger joints and upmarket shopping malls.
It is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope - that is India.

Day 2: Travel to Agra
Post breakfast, you begin a four-hour-long drive to Agra, the land of the immortal Taj Mahal. Check in at the hotel and proceed for sightseeing.
Taj Mahal figures one first, which you can reach by availing a battery taxi ride. Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, was built by Shah Jahan in 1631 A.D. and was completed in 1651 A.D.. This monument is a symbol of love was built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal, Shah Jahan's wife.
After the Taj, visit Agra Fort, which was built by Akbar in 1525 A.D. and Itimad-ud-Daulah's tomb also known as the Baby Taj - the interiors of which are considered better than the Taj. Also, visit Akbar's tomb at Sikandra.
After sightseeing, retire for the night to your hotel.

Day 3: Travel to Jaipur
After breakfast, we drive down to Fatehpur Sikri, which is situated close by. Fatehpur Sikri used to be the capital of the Mughal rulers from 1571 to 1585, before it was shifted to Agra due to lack of water resources. It is a deserted, red Sandstone City built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. It a veritable fairytale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Also we take you to Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.
Once the sight-seeing is over, we drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of India, which is a four hour long drive.
Jaipur
The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the eighteenth century, when Jai Singh II who ascended the Amber throne in 1699 ruled the place. Jaipur today epitomizes the spirit of Rajputana. In-spite of growing into a bustling metropolis, it still retains its character and history, in fact Jaipur is a beautiful fusion of the yesteryears and modernity. Popularly known as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone, painted so in honor of the visit of the royal consort of Queen Victoria, Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces, exquisite temples and lush gardens.
Once you reach Jaipur, after checking into the hotel, you are free to explore the city.

Day 4: Guided Tour of Jaipur
In the morning, at around 8 am, the guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour through the Pink city. During this tour, you get to visit the impressive Amber Fort (12 Kms. from Jaipur). At the foot of the hills, you even get to mount on to an elephant for a slow but steady climb upto the main gate.
Then we visit the Amber Fort, which is set in a picturesque location. This fort is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh, this fort has a perfect blend of red sandstone in white marble and possesses some very interesting apartments, the likes of which are not to be found anywhere else in the country. Besides this, Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas and Ganesh Pole are other prominent areas of interest that you can visit.
You can also visit the imposing Maharajah's City palace, which is still the home of the Maharaja, though several rooms have been thrown open to public. You can also visit the Hawa Mahal, the ornamental facade of this "palace of winds," which is a landmark in Jaipur. Its five storey structure of pink sandstone encrusted with fine trellis work and balconies has 953 niches and windows.

Day 5: Travel to Udaipur, the city of lakes
On the fifth day, we drive through the deserts to Udaipur, the jewel of Mewar. On arrival, we check in at the hotel and the rest of the day is at your disposal.
Udaipur is a lovely land surrounded by azure lake and hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravallis. Its kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of a heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. The reflection of the palaces in the placid waters of Lake Pichola is an enchanting sight.

Day 6: Stay at Udaipur
After breakfast, you can visit the City Palace, the largest Palace complex Museum of Rajasthan or take a stroll through the colorful Bapu Bazaar. Towards sunset, you can proceed on a cruise on Lake Pichola and visit the Jag Mandir Palace.

Day 7: Travel to Jodhpur
After breakfast, we drive to Jodhpur. En-route, we also visit the Ranakpur Temples, dating back to the 15th century. Once we reach Jodhpur, you can check in at the hotel and the evening is at your disposal.
Jodhpur, set at the edge of the Thar Desert, echoes the tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. The powerful Rathor clan had ruled the Kindgom of Jodhpur for a long period. The Rathors trace their ancestry back to Lord Rama, the hero of the epic Ramayana. Jodhpur today is the second largest city of Rajasthan with a population of 6,50,000.

Day 8: Stay at Jodhpur
In the morning, you are taken out on a village safari in the jeep. During this safari, you get to see some rare glimpses of the rich culture of Rajasthan. The afternoon is dedicated for sightseeing.

Day 9: Proceed to Jaisalmer
On the ninth day, we take you on a Desert Safari to Jaisalmer. Once you reach Jaisalmer, you check in at the hotel.

Day 10: Tour of Jaisalmer
After breakfast the next day, we set out on a sightseeing tour around Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is situated in the heart of the Great Indian Desert and its temples, fort and palaces are all made of golden sandstone. In fact, Jaisalmer is a commanding fort and its awesome splendor dominates the amber-hued city.
The city has an interesting legend associated with it, according to which, Lord Krishna-the head of the Yadav Clan, foretold Arjuna that a remote descendent of the Yadav Clan would build his kingdom atop the Trikuta Hill. His prophecy was fulfilled in 1156 AD when Rawal Jaisal, a descendent of the Yadav Clan and a Bhatti Rajput abandoned his fort at Lodurva and founded a new capital - Jaisalmer, perched on the Trikuta Hill.
