Day 01 – Arrival in Luni

Enter Luni to experience the royal charm of Rajasthan. Enjoy a horse ride from Luni to Satlana. The journey from Luni to Satlana goes through dry flat region. View some of the outstanding environmental protecting settlements by Bishnoi community during the safari. Witness the performances of the camps folk musicians at the dry riverbed of the Luni. Relax with those performances at Satlana.

Day 02 : Satlana to Ghana

Enjoy a filling breakfast before starting a journey towards Ghana. The rest of the journey is through sandy region. During the journey, view some of the dry scrub villages of the state. Set up a camp in bushy land of Ghana that protects the historical Ramdeoji Temple. Stay overnight at Ghana for heading to Karmawas next morning.

Day 03 : Ghana to Karmawas

The sandy desert comes to an end and we enter the region of Karmawas. Now, the safari would continue on the flat dry desert land of Ghana. Witness some of the traditional houses of the villages that come across the journey. The houses are well-maintained by the villagers keeping cleanliness as their first priority. Low hills of Aravali ranges can be seen once you reach Karmawas. View the desert flora after a long journey on dry desert that will rejuvenate the lost energies to some extent. Make an overnight stay at Karmawas.

Day 04 : Karmawas to Asotra

As you head towards the Asotra, you will pass some of the hills and acacia clusters of the region. Asotra is situated at the ancient saraswati river basin. An aquifer has been created on the basin that is used by the farmers for cultivating their crops. Relax and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel in Asotra.

Day 05: Asotra to Balotra

On the 5th day of the Luni Balotra Horse Safari, we will cross a small village named Tilwara. One can see the historical temple of Mallinathji, who ruled the land centuries back. Tilwara is famous for its annual cattle fair. This cattle fair brings together more than 80,000 cattle that are being sold and brought. The borrowers are not only from the local villages but they come from various states and make it more popular than Pushkar or Nagaur fair. The fair is loaded with domestic animals like horses, camels, bullocks and donkeys. One can also enjoy the spectacular shows of horse rider on the riverbed. Witness the gathering of such a huge annual cattle meet, which is distinct in its own terms. Give a pause to the journey with an overnight stay at Tilwara. Relax yourself with some of the entertaining folk activities at the camp during the stay.

Day 06 – Walk Around Fair

Place your feet at the land of Balotra, on the sixth day of the safari. Balotra is also named as the tiny textile town. The place is famous for hand woven handloom cloths that are artistically decorated with traditional block prints. Walk around the fair and buy some of these local handicrafts. Spectacular shows of horse races and folk entertainment would surely help in ending the entire day in a joyous way. Enjoy the campfire and stay overnight at the camp.

Day 07 – Camp at Fair Ride / Walk around fair

Start your 7th day of Luni Balotra Horse Safari with horse rides on the dry land. As one day is not enough to complete the beautiful fair of Balotra, spend some more time with the local displays of artistic handicrafts.

Day 08 – Ride around fair - Departure for Jodhpur / Jaisalmer / Bikaner

On the 8th day of the tour, we enjoy last ride around the fair and capture some of the memorable moments during the stay at Balotra. The journey comes to an end at Balotra followed by departure through some of the popular cities of Rajasthan like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner. Here ends your Luni Balotra Horse Safari.
