Travel to Rajasthan, India, on the Rajasthan Experience Tour.

Day 1: Arrival Delhi

The company representative will meet you in the arrival visitor's hall of the airport in Delhi, India, with a paging board. He will help you transfer to your hotel and complete the check in formalities.

Relax at the hotel. Later you can explore the sights of Delhi - a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope that is India.

Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

In the morning have your breakfast and be ready to travel around Delhi, the capital of kingdoms and empires.

Delhi is no fairytale city but a city where dreams come to reality. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power.

Delhi is truly a symbol of the old and the new; a blend of ancient well preserved monuments and temples along with jam-packed burger joints and up market shopping malls.

Old Delhi owes its origins to the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The old city area has monuments, and narrow crowded streets within its granite walls and bustling bazaars. The main structure is the Red fort built of red sandstone; it houses the famous Diwan-e-khas, the beautiful audience chamber where the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan held court, seated on the peacock throne.

Board the Rickshaw Ride, for a unique experience through Chandni Chowk or the silver street, experiencing the sights and sounds of this busy avenue heading west from the Red fort. Opposite the fort is the largest mosque in India - the Jama Masjid and as you walk down its steps, you walk into the teeming market place famous for brocades, braids, silver, manuscripts etc.

Rajasthan Experience TourContinuing the tour of Old delhi, visit Raj Ghat, where the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Post lunch, travel around New Delhi. Drive past the state Government buildings designed by Lutyens, visiting Rajpath leading up from India Gate the war memorial arch, up to the imposing presidential palace - the Rashtrapati Bhawan - built on Raisina hill and flanked by the secretariat buildings.

Landscaped parks and formal gardens surround old monuments all over the city such as the mausoleum of Humayun.

End the tour at the tower Minaret of Qutab Minar. Here you can see an amazing 2000 yrs old pure iron pillar erected in 4 A.D., which has never rusted.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur

After breakfast travel to Rajasthan, India and arrive at Jaipur - known to many as the Pink City, its buildings were painted on the instruction of the Maharajah - rosy pink being the color associated with hospitality in Rajasthan, India.

On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Post lunch, commence the half day sightseeing covering City Palace - the royal residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur known for its stunning architecture. It also houses a museum. Later visit Palace of Winds also known as Hawa Mahal. This elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is encrusted with delicate screens and carved balconies from which the royal ladies, confined to their quarters, could view the outside world. Past, present and future merge at Jai Singh's Observatory, where time has been accurately measured since the 17th century. Tourists from all over the world travel to Rajasthan, India to see the sights of the beautiful Pink City. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Jaipur - Sanganer - Jaipur

Morning at 0800 Hrs the guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on a city tour of Jaipur. Visit the impressive Amber Fort (12 Kms. from Jaipur). At the foot of the hill, mount on an elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate. Return to the hotel for a swim.

Post lunch excursion to a small village called Sanganer -16 kms south of Jaipur. An important trade and industry center, known to produce world famous hand-printed textiles made by the block printing or silk screen process. Customers from all over the world travel to Rajasthan, India, to purchase the unique textiles of Sanganer.

In the evening, enjoy your dinner at Chokhi Dhani (an ethnic village resort) where you will have an idea of the village life of Rajasthan. Enjoy various traditional Rajasthani dances, puppet shows and cultural performances. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur - Mount Abu

Post breakfast, travel to the next exciting destination, Mount Abu, the hill station in the Thar desert. On arrival, check in the hotel. Time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Mount Abu

After a leisurely breakfast, commence the sight seeing tour of Mt. Abu. Visit the Nakki Lake, studded with little islands. Gaumukh temple - the place is ascribed to the legendary hermit Sage Vashistha, who is said to have created the 4 warrior Rajput clans out of a religious fire. Explore the World Famous Dilwara Jain-Temple Complex.

In the evening visit to the Sunset Point and the Honeymoon Point. The setting of the sun against the hilly backdrop presents a breathtaking view. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Mount Abu - Udaipur

Post breakfast, travel to the city of Lakes, the Oasis in the Thar desert - Udaipur. En-route visit the famous Jain Temples of India in Ranakpur. Evening at leisure at the hotel.

Day 8: Udaipur

Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds and experiences and inspiration for the imagination of poets, painters and writers.

Day 9: Udaipur - Nagda- Eklingji - Udaipur

Day 10: Udaipur - Chittorgarh

Morning travel to the historic city of Chittorgarh -112kms from Udaipur.

Chittorgarh was a well-established citadel and the capital of Mewar, until Emperor Akbar conquered it. Chittorgarh Fort stands about 180 meters high and at the summit it is 5km long north to south, but only 0.75 km at its widest, east to west. Also worth seeing are the Vijay stambh and the Kirti stambh. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Chittorgarh - Kota

Day 12: Kota

After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour of Kota visiting City Palace and Fort. Within the city palace is the museum, which houses a good collection of artifacts. Later visit the Chambal Gardens - around Kota along the Chambal River, which has a crocodile sanctuary. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Kota - Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur

After breakfast drive to Ranthambhore, famous for the wildlife sanctuary, which is said to have India's friendliest Tigers and is also considered to be the best place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat. Nature lover's travel to Rajasthan, India from around the world to see tigers at Ranthambore. It is also a wonderful place for bird watching. Arrive at Ranthambhore and transfer to the hotel.

Afternoon jungle safari by Canter to encounter the Tiger. The park, which is one of the finest tiger reserves in the country, is the main attraction of Ranthambore.

Day 14: Ranthambore - Jaipur

Visit the Hawa Mahal (the ornamental facade of this "palace of winds" is a landmark in Jaipur. Its five storey structure of pink sandstone encrusted with fine trelliswork and balconies has 953 niches and windows.) Open air Jantar Mantar - Royal observatory (built in the 17th century by Jai Singh - with a sundial 90 ft. High; Albert museum (the museum amidst the Ram Niwas palace gardens founded in 1876 with a large collection of antiques).

Day 16: Jaipur- Neemrana Fort - Delhi

Drive back to Delhi. Stop enroute at the Neemrana Fort Palace for yet another maharaja experience. Enjoy the midday meal before departing for Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home at the end of your Rajasthan Experience Tour.
