Travel to Rajasthan, India on a Heritage Tour of Rajasthan.
Day 1: Arrival Delhi
The company representative will meet you with a paging board, in the arrival visitor's hall of the airport in Delhi, India He will help you transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. Overnight at the hotel.
Delhi is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope - that is India.
Day 2: Delhi
In the morning have your breakfast and be ready to travel around the capital of kingdoms and empires. Delhi is no fairytale city but a city where dreams come to reality. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power.
Delhi, the capital of India, is truly a symbol of the old and the new; a blend of ancient well preserved monuments and temples along with jam-packed burger joints and shopping malls.
Old Delhi owes its origins to the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It has monuments, narrow crowded streets within its granite walls and bustling bazaars. The main structure is the Red Fort built of red sandstone; it houses the famous Diwan-e-khas, the beautiful audience chamber where the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan held court, seated on the Peacock Throne.
Board the Rickshaw Ride, for a unique experience through Chandni Chowk or the silver street, experiencing the sights and sounds of this busy avenue heading west from the Red fort. Opposite the fort is the largest mosque in India - the Jama Masjid and as you walk down its steps, you walk into the teeming market place famous for brocades, braids, silver, manuscripts etc.
Continuing to travel in Old Delhi, visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, was cremated.
Post lunch, commence the city tour of New Delhi. Drive past the state Government buildings designed by Lutyens, visiting Rajpath leading up from the war memorial arch India Gate, up to the imposing presidential palace - the Rashtrapati Bhawan - built on Raisina hill and flanked by the secretariat buildings.
Landscaped parks and formal gardens surround old monuments all over the city, such as the mausoleum of Humayun.
End the tour at the tower Minaret of Qutab Minar. The earliest Muslim city of India is 15 kms from Rashtrapati Bhawan, which is dominated by the Qutab Minar, which is an amazing 2000 yrs old pure iron pillar, erected in 4 AD, which has never rusted.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
Early morning: Transfer to the Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express Train to travel to Rajasthan, India. (Departure at 0615 hours and arrival at 1030 hours in Jaipur). On arrival at Jaipur Railway Station welcome and transfer to the hotel.
Jaipur - Known to many as the PINK CITY, its buildings were painted on the instruction of the Maharajah - rosy pink being the color his people associated with hospitality. The city is named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it.
Day at leisure. Enjoy a stroll through the colorful Johari bazaar (the main bazaar in the old city, for jewellery and saris).
In the evening enjoy your dinner at Chokhi Dhani (an ethnic village resort) where you will have an idea of the village life of Rajasthan, India. Enjoy various traditional Rajasthani dances, puppet show, and various other cultural activities.
Day 4: Jaipur
The Soul of Splendid Rajasthan - Full day guided tour of the Pink City of Jaipur, India.
Morning at 0800Hrs. The guide will meet you at the hotel to take you for a city tour of the Pink city. Visit the impressive Amber Fort (12 Kms. from Jaipur). At the foot of the hill, mount on to an Elephant for the slow but steady climb upto the main gate.
Visit the Hawa Mahal (the ornamental facade of this "palace of winds" is a landmark in Jaipur. This five storey structure of pink sandstone encrusted with fine trelliswork and balconies has 953 niches and windows.) The open air Jantar Mantar - a Royal observatory (built in the 17th century by Jai Singh - with a sundial 90 ft. high; Albert museum (the museum amidst the Ram Niwas palace gardens, founded in 1876, with a large collection of antiques.)
Dinner at a typical Restaurant in City.
Day 5: Jaipur - Samode - Nawalgarh Shekhawati 
After breakfast travel to Samode Palace in Rajasthan, India, (A magnificent Fort Palace of the 16th Century, which still reflects the charm of the Royal lifestyle of Samode) and enjoy sightseeing in Samode Village.
Continue your journey to Nawalgarh, the town where the finest of the Shekhavati's frescoes can be seen. Its havelis still bear witness to the rich & prosperous Marwari era of the 19th century. It has a colorful bazaar and two forts. There are also interesting temples in the town, including Ganga Mai near Nansa Gate. Later visit Dundlod and Ratangarh.
Day 6: Nawalgarh - Mandawa - Fatehpur - Bikaner
Morning drive to Mandawa, a compact little town of the Shekhavati region. Arrive, and check into the hotel. In the afternoon visit Havelis and see beautiful frescoes.
After arrival in Bikaner, enjoy a city tour covering Junagadh Fort, sumptuously decorated with its ornately lacquered walls in red & gold and panels of dazzling colored glass inlay, set over the coronation throne, Bhand Sagar Temple - The 16th century Jain Temple, Camel Breeding Farm - a unique experience where you can ride on a camel & have perhaps the first taste of camel's milk and Deshnok (Karni Mata Temple) devoted to an incarnation of Durga. The sacred rats and their life is reconfirmation of the almighty power of the Goddess, which you'll see when you travel to Rajasthan, India.
Day 7: Bikaner - Gajner - Jaisalmer
Depart after breakfast by road to the ancient caravan city of Jaisalmer, Enroute visiting Gajner & Kolayat. Gajner 35 kms from Bikaner is famous for Gajner Palace, which is now a hotel and the wildlife sanctuary. Further explore Kolayat, a beautiful village with Havelis.
Later drive to Jaisalmer
Rising from the heart of the Thar Desert, like a golden mirage, is the city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, India.
Day 8: Jaisalmer (The golden desert city)
The city has an interesting legend associated with it, according to which, Lord Krishna - the head of the Yadav clan, foretold Arjuna that a remote descendent of the Yadav clan would build his kingdom atop the Trikuta Hill. His prophecy was fulfilled in 1156 AD when Rawal Jaisal, a descendent of the Yadav clan and a Bhatti Rajput, abandoned his fort at Lodurva and founded a new capital - Jaisalmer, perched on the Trikuta Hill.
After a relaxed breakfast, travel for a full day's sightseeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort, and palaces are all built of golden sandstone. Explore the honey-colored fort that emerges from the flat dry desert sands and enjoy a walk through the maze of narrow streets in the city with ornately decorated havelis.
Evening enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes.
Day 9: Jaisalmer - Osian - Khimsar
Post breakfast travel to Khimsar, en-route visiting desert hamlets and Hindu temples in Osian. After arrival in Khimsar Fort, time for leisure and relaxation at the swimming pool.
Dinner with Folklore Dances and overnight at Khimsar Fort.
Day 10: Khimsar - Jodhpur - Rohet (140 kms.)
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur through the most interesting contours of the desert landscape.
After breakfast leave for Rohet Village en-route Sightseeing of Mehrangarh Fort-Museum with panoramic view of Jodhpur City, Jaswant Thada (Royal Cenotaphs) Umaid Bhawan Palace- Museum and continue drive to Rohet Village (50 Kms.).
After arrival in Rohet, relax at the poolside at Rohetgarh
Day 11: Rohet
Morning at leisure, free for independent activities. Afternoon for Jeep Safari Tour of Bisnoi's Desert Villages & see also Opium Ceremony in Paliwal Village.
Day 12: Rohet - Mount Abu
Post breakfast; depart for the next exciting destination, Mount Abu, the hill station in the Thar Desert. On arrival, check in the hotel. Time to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and to explore the World Famous Dilwara Jain Temple Complex and its surroundings. Followers of Jainism travel to Rajasthan, India, from all over the world, to visit these beautiful temples.
Day 13: Mount Abu - Ranakpur - Udaipur
Post breakfast; depart for the city of Lakes, the Oasis in the Thar Desert - Udaipur. En-route visit the famous Jain Temples of India in Ranakpur.
Evening at leisure at the hotel.
Day 14: Udaipur (The romantic City of Rajasthan)
Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds and experiences and inspiration for the imagination of poets, painters, and writers.
Its kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of a heroic past, epitomizing valor and chivalry. Their reflection in the placid waters of the LAKE PICHOLA is an enchanting sight.
Commence the morning sightseeing tour by visiting the City Palace, the largest Palace complex Museum of Rajasthan, India. Take a stroll through the colorful Bapu Bazaar.
Post lunch tour of the famous Jain temples of Nagda and Eklingi, 15kms from Udaipur.
Towards sunset proceed on a cruise on Lake Pichola, and visit the Jag Mandir Palace
Day 15: Udaipur - Dungarpur
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Dungarpur.
On arrival, check in at the Udai Bilas palace. Continuing the day with the sightseeing of Juna Fort - Palace (Old Palace) of Dungarpur and Dungarpur village lifestyle.
Rest of time free for individual activities.
Day 16: Dungarpur - Udaipur - Nagda - Deogarh
Travel to Deogarh, (famous palace converted into a hotel). En-route visiting the famous Lord Shiva Temple in Eklingji and Sas-Bahu Temple in Nagda.
Continue drive to Deogarh, afternoon Tea/Coffee with Royal Family of Deogarh and rest of the time to explore the village lifestyle.
Day 17: Deogarh - Ajmer - Pushkar - Pachewar
After breakfast leave for Pachewar Village. En-route visit the Dargah - the tomb of the Sufi saint, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti - in Ajmer, located in the heart of the old city and Lord Brahma Temple at Pushkar Lake & continue to drive to Pachewar Village.
Evening walking tour of the Pachewar village.
Day 18: Pachewar - Ranthambhore
After breakfast drive to Ranthambhore, famous for the wildlife sanctuary, which is said to have India's friendliest Tigers and also considered to be the best place in the world to photograph the tiger in its natural habitat. Nature lover's worldwide travel to Rajasthan, India to see the tigers of Ranthambore. It is also a wonderful place for bird watching. Arrive at Ranthambhore and transfer to the hotel.
Day 19: Ranthambhore - Bharatpur
Morning drive to Bharatpur. Situated between the cities of Agra and Jaipur in the northwest, it is famous for the Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary, which is a home to an astonishing range of flora and fauna.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel. After lunch have a completely rewarding experience of seeing an overwhelming range of birds during the rickshaw ride into the Keoladeo Ghana National Park
Day 20: Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
Leisurely wake up and enjoy the buffet Breakfast at the hotel. Continue your journey to the next destination - the immortal TAJ MAHAL in Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted city of Emperor Akbar, which literally means "City of Victory".
Travel to Agra and check in at the hotel.
Evening visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunset. One of the Seven Wonders of the World and the most extravagant expressions of love ever created.
Day 21: Agra - Delhi
After breakfast visit Agra Fort, a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates. Post lunch tour of Itimad-Ud-Daulah's tomb, or the 'Baby Taj'. Less visited but much admired, it features striking mosaics inlaid with sparkling stones. Return to Delhi and transfer to the airport.
Day 21: Delhi - Abroad
Midnight: Departure by international flight to your onward destination at the end of your Heritage Tour of Rajasthan.
