The Marwar festival is celebrated in the month of September and October while in the Hindu calendar it is said as Ashwin. This is also known as Rajasthan Maand festival. The importance of the festival lies in the folk dance. The dance is very famous in the Marwar region.

The last two days of the full moon day of Sharad Poornima is celebrated on this eve. The main event in this festival is the folk dances by the Rajasthani. Even lots of outsiders also take part in this dance as the festival is dedicated to the folk dances. The dance is followed with a folk music which is known as Maand. This festival is held at Jodhpur. This dance is carried on by the women with pots on their heads and singers at the background. The festival also includes the camel tattoo show and camel polo.
