Day 1: Arrival at Cochin
On the first day, as you arrive in Cochin, Kerala,
India, our company representative will be there to meet
you. He will be in the visitor's hall, with a placard
bearing your name. He will transfer you to the hotel and
complete all the check-in formalities. Upon arrival at the
hotel, the guests are welcomed in traditional Indian style
with aarti-tikaa and garlands.
In the afternoon, we take you on a guided tour around
Cochin. Cochin is popularly known as the Queen of the
Arabian Sea and is the oldest European settlement in
India. Surrounded by backwaters, this city has always
managed to attract voyagers to its shores for a vacation
in Kerala. During this tour, you get to visit the Dutch
Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the Church of St. Francis,
the Bolghatty Palace and the famous Chinese Fishing Nets.
You also get to savour the typical Kerala lunch on banana
leaves, an unmissable treat when you travel to Kerala,

In the evening, you can enjoy the famous Kathakali dance
show of Kerala.
Day 2: Drive to Thekkady
In the morning, we drive you through a scenic route
dotted with plantations of rubber, cardamom, cocoa and
green pepper to the wildlife reserve at Periyar in
Thekkady.
Thekkady, located in central Kerala, is a popular hill
station and a wildlife center in Kerala, India. This town,
which is an important plantation centre has unending
chains of hills and spice-scented plantations. Some of the
major attractions of Thekkady include plantation tours,
elephant rides, trekking and boat cruises on the Periyar
Lake.
The Periyar Forest in Thekkady is home to one of the
finest wildlife reserves of India, Periyar Wildlife
Sanctuary. This Sanctuary offers one a fairly good chance
of seeing the Royal Bengal Tiger and other animals when
you travel to Kerala, India, on vacation.
Day 3: Travel to Munnar - After enjoying an early
morning boat cruise on Lake Periyar, we depart for Munnar,
also known as the Kashmir of Southern India.
Munnar is one of the prominent hill stations in Kerala,
India, situated at the confluence of three mountain
streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. It is
famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs,
forests, and tea estates. The quiet environs of Munnar
attract the traveler to relax in the lap of Mother Nature
on a relaxing vacation in Kerala. At Munnar, the
adventure-seeking travelers can try their hand at
paragliding. Munnar also has some of the highest tea
estates in the world. Anamudi, the highest peak in South
India, towering over 2695m is also in Munnar, which you
will see when you travel to Kerala, India. In the vicinity
is the Eravikulam National Park, the home of the
endangered Nilgiri Tahr that roams on a stretch of
grassland or is seen climbing the pinnacles of the
undulating hills.
Day 4: Relax at Munnar
Day 5: Travel to Kumarakom - The fourth day is at your
disposal wherein you can enjoy the beauty of Munnar.
On the fifth day, we drive you to Kumarakom, wherein the
day is at your disposal. You can either spend the day at
leisure at the enchanting resort - Coconut Lagoon - or
enjoy the panoramic backwaters. You can even enjoy a
sundowner cruise or simply relax by the poolside. You can
also opt for Ayurveda therapy or a massage at the resort
when you travel to Kerala, India, on vacation.
Day 6:Travel to Alleppey - After driving for a short
distance, you can embark on a boat cruise and cover the
rest of the distance to Alleppey.
Alleppey (Alappuzha) is situated on the banks of
Vembanad Lake, where the town's commercial centre lives in
a maze of canals. Set in the labyrinth of backwater
channels, the town is one of the best getaways to explore
the unspoilt countryside.
Alleppey is not only famous for its natural beauty but
also for its locally made coir products that are of a very
superior quality. Alleppey is also famous for its Nehru
Trophy boat race held every year, which many tourists
travel to Kerala, India to see. The backwaters of Alleppey
can be best experienced in a country boat.

Day 7: Drive to Trivandrum - After breakfast, we drive
you to Trivandrum. On arrival in Trivandrum, you are
transferred to a hotel in Kovalam, where you have the
entire day at your disposal. A popular Kerala vacation
destination, Kovalam is considered to be one of the best
beaches in India. At your choice from any of the centres
nearby, you can pamper yourself with a herbal, body-toning
massage.
Day 8: Travel to Cape Comorin - The next morning you
will be leaving for Cape Comorin. There, you can visit the
Padmanabhapuram Palace & Archaeological museum. In the
evening, you can drive back to Kovalam and spend the night
at the hotel.
Day 9: Departure From Trivandrum
On the ninth day, we assist you to catch the flight from
Trivandrum to your onward destination, at the end of your
Kerala Tour Package. |
