Day 1: Cochin
The journey for the Kerala Backwater Holidays starts
with the arrival at the international airport of Cochin.
You will be assisted at the airport as well as the hotel.
Enjoy the beautiful scenic places at Cochin. The place is
also famous in the historic point of view. You can see a
wide range of distinct architectures in the city. These
are inclusive of the St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue,
Chinese Fishing net, Bolgatty Palace and Dutch Palace.
After this sight seeing relax at the hotel during the
night.
Day 02: Kumarakom
The next day you will be traveling to the next
destination in this tour. The next place on the list is
Kumarakom. Check in to the hotel at Kumarakom in the
morning. This is one of the beautiful places that are
situated at the bank of the backwaters. The most visited
tourist’s attraction in Kumarakom is the bird
sanctuary. You can see a number of bird species at this
place. Enjoy the nature’s wonders and get back to the
hotel to relax.
Day 3: Alleppey
On the day 3 you will be transported to the famous
Alleppey from Kumarakom. Alleppey is famous for various
heritage monument and temples. The people here are great
devotees of Lord Shri Krishna. Hence you will find a large
number of temples sculpted in distinct variety of designs.
The place is mainly popular for the snake boat race that
takes place over here. The slim and long snake boats are
rowed by 100s of men in a rhythmic pattern. This truly
creates a magnificent view. After the visit to the boat
race you can relax your body and mind at the Punnamada
Resort.
Day 4: Quilon
The next morning you will enjoy your holiday at Quilon.
You will be transported to the small town Quilon from
Alleppey in a houseboat. This journey also consists of the
visit to Alumkadavu. This stay over here can be extended
to 1-2 days if you like.
Day 05: Kovalam
Kovalam is the final destination in the Kerala Backwater
Holiday Tour. After enjoying breakfast at the houseboat in
Quilon, you can travel a small distance to reach to
Kovalam. After some sight seeing in Kovalam, you can reach
to Airport to travel for your next destination. Here ends
