Thrissur

Thrissur is essentially the cultural capital of the state of Kerala and the town has derived the name from Lord Siva. The city has witnessed many important historical events in its life and is thus, a great attraction for tourists. There are famous temples and other historical monuments that must be visited while in Thrissur.

One of the famous tourist attractions is the Vadakkumnatha Kshethram temple which is built on a hill in the centre of the city. The temple perfectly reflects the Kerala style of design.
